Alain Krivine, the founder of the Revolutionary Communist Youth organisation, was expelled from the Communist Party for his anti-Stalinist views in 1966. He then helped found the Revolutionary Communist League (LCR), where he continues to be active today.
Krivine was a key figure in May 1968, heading the student general assembly in the Sorbonne and preaching revolution among students and workers in the streets of Paris.
He tells RFI about his role in the movement, and the amazing climate that existed during that month, suggesting everything was possible.
He’s still waiting, patiently, for the revolution to come.
