Frenchman Dessel wins mountainous stage

Climbing up the highest paved road in Europe to the Bonnett summit, the tour returned to Franch from its brief sejour in Italy. As if to mark the homecoming, a Frenchman took the stage for only the second time since the tour started out. Cyril Dessel won the 157km 16th stage, and Frank Schleck from Luxemburg keeps the yellow jersey.
