Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia beat her compatroit Dinara Safina to win her second grand slam title on Saturday. She beat Safina 6-4, 6-2 in a tense encounter. It gives seventh seed Kuznetsova her second grand slam title after winning the US Open in 2004.
