The family of Michael Jackson has ordered a second autopsy of the pop star who died suddenly on Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest.

They say there are a number of unanswered questions surrounding the superstar's death.

Jackson's family members are huddled at their compound in Los Angeles where they have gathered since Michael Jackson died three days ago.

Los Angeles police have conducted a second interview with the doctor who was with the singer when he collapsed and have issued a statement saying he is not a suspect, but a witness.

Frustrated by the lack of hard information, the family has requested a second autopsy on Jackson's body. This autopsy has reportedly been carried out but there has been no news on its findings.

A preliminary autopsy was inconclusive and the final cause of death may not be known until exhaustive toxicology tests are completed in six to eight weeks.
