Three killed in Peshawar press club suicide bomb

Three people died after a suicide bomb attack on the press club in Peshawar in Tuesday. A man strapped with explosives detonated himself as police stopped him from entering the building.

Media in the north-western Pakistani city had been threatened by Islamist militants, according to the president of the press club.

Witnesses said the explosion blew out windows, destroyed the guard hut and damaged nearby vehicles.

Seventeen people were reported to be wounded, with four journalists among them.
