Luanda airport. The international one. Time to go home. Or rather to start the trip away from Angola.
It’s been a long four weeks but they have gone.
Egypt won – as I so confidently predicted – and Ghana were valiant losers.
The Ghana squad was staying in the same hotel as me and they were a subdued band afterwards. But they smiled and said thank you when you congratulated them on their achievements.
They’ve made a huge statement for the future.
Over the next 24 hours I’ll be heading back to Paris. And this will be the time to consider the Blog Awards.
The blog? Considering things?
Time to go home.
