At the Makli necropolis, outside the Sindh town of Thatta, a snake charmer plays his flute as visitors arrive to see tombs going back to the 14th century. The graveyard is said to be the biggest Islamic cemetery in the world and houses the burial places of 125,000 sufi saints. It has several tombs in the classical Persian style.
