Matthieu Mondolini and Pierre France are the two journalists behind La Maraude: à l'écoute des sans-abris (Looking for, Listening to the homeless). The two of them constitute the multimedia department of Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace (DNA).

It's not the first time they've written about Strasbourg's Social Services and their nightly cruising, on the look-out for the homeless. "The webdocumentary format allowed us to tackle the story in a new way," says Mondolini, "it allows people to see and hear the work done by these people differently".

"It means you can hear the voices of people that are rarely heard," he says, explaining that the people that feature - Dany, Sylvie and Patrick - accepted the reporters almost immediately.

There was only one night to do the report and so they chose to construct the documentary chronologically, trying to bring the webusers along for the ride.
