This week on Club 9516/The Sound Kitchen: from India to The Gambia, your New Year’s Resolutions … plus music by listener request, and of course, the quiz …

Hello everyone! Here’s this week’s quiz question: 

Presidential elections were held this week in Sri Lanka – the first to be held since the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam rebel group was crushed by the Sri Lankan military in May. The top two candidates were bitter rivals, and both claimed credit for the military campaign that destroyed the Tamil rebels. Send me the names of the two candidates, and the name of the winner of the polls.
