Israel has halted bombing of the Gaza Strip for three hours, after announcing that it would do so every day to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid. France on Wednesday condemned the Israeli air-strike on a UN school in Gaza, which killed at least 42 people. Egypt has put forward a three-point peace plan.
