Bob Sinclar, king of the dancefloor

Love Generation a mega-hit

Paris

02/02/2006 -

Bob Sinclar's Love Generation now ranks as one of the most frequently played tracks in international clubland, cresting a wave of success all the way from Europe to America.

Bob Sinclar, a one-man hit machine on club dancefloors since the late '90s, is currently enjoying the biggest hit of his career. His single Love Generation, released in France in September 2005, was used as the theme tune to the fifth season of TV reality show Star Academy. And the track was instantly picked up on by French DJs who catapulted it to the top of the official club chart.

Love Generation went on to shoot to number 8 in the UK charts in November 2005. And since December, Sinclar-mania has swept dancefloors worldwide, making it to no.1 in the clubs in the US (a rare achievement for a French artist!) and Switzerland, no.2 in Brazil, Australia, Denmark, Poland and the Czech Republic, no.3 in Germany and Italy, no.4 in Sweden, no.9 in Finland, no.10 in Norway and no.42 in Belgium. Only Madonna's Abba revival Hung Up has bettered that!

Following its club success, Love Generation went on to conquer the mainstream singles charts in Belgium (making it to no.1 in Flanders and no.7 in Wallonia), the Netherlands (no.2), Austria (no.4), Spain (no.6), Italy (no.9), Greece (no.10), Germany (no.11), the UK (no.12), Ireland (no.14), Switzerland (no.15), Denmark (no.20), France (no.27) and the Netherlands (no.34). In countries which do not have official best-selling singles charts, Bob Sinclar ratcheted up points in the 'most played radio hits' in Russia and Hungary (no.4), Romania (no.12), Latvia (no.18), the Czech Republic (no.27), Slovakia (no.33), Poland (no.37), Brazil (no.43) and Mexico (no.91).
