In 2009 Kenya launched a satirical show called XYZ, inspired by France's "Les Guignols" and "Spitting Image" in the UK. It uses plastic puppets to poke fun at politicians, encourage democracy and let Kenyans poke fun at themselves. The producers plan to launch a second series in early 2010.
